Clash of Creators: a Breakdown of the Players to Watch!

Exciting news coming out of the YouTube world – some of our favourite content creators are going to go head-to-head in a charity football tournament! The tournament, similar to the Sidemen vs YouTube Allstars and Wembley Cup, is named Clash of Creators and has been organised in aid of mental health charity Mind.

Since the competition isn’t affiliated with any particular YouTube brand, it has meant that the organisers have been able to search the length and breadth of YouTube to form a star-studded lineup. Some of our favourite names on the list include ImAllexx, JaackMaate and pranksters Zac and Jay.

The tournament is going to be contested between 4 teams: Blue, Red, White and Navy. But, who’s got the ballers?

The Breakdown

Before we go into our own analysis of who we think will boss the competition and the players that might surprise us, Twitter has already had it’s say on who will win the fight:

Team Navy takes the vote with 34.9%! The team, which is set to be captained by Callum Glanville, is the firm favourite to storm away with the tournament – with ChrisMD on the team, it’s easy to understand why!

Team Blue: ones to watch

Ollie Ball and Jacob Pasquill are just a pair of 16 year olds well known for their chuck it or scran it videos, but how will they fare on the pitch? Although the young lads will be up against it physically, we think that they might just add a little bit of flair to the games – after all, they’ve been refining their skills on the school yard 5 days a week! Keep an eye out for these two.

Team White: ones to watch

Rocket – with 19 years spent on  Soccer AM, it could be argued that Rocket’s footballing knowledge is unrivalled. We aren’t sure whether or not to expect this football IQ to translate over to his on-pitch performance. Are we in for a  cool, calm and collected display from the experienced  Rocket, or an endless parade of lost aerial battles? Only time will tell.

Team Red: ones to watch

Callums Corner – although we don’t expect him to be a maestro on the pitch, we think Callum’s humour will come in handy throughout the tournament. He will no doubt be in the ear of his opposing player, putting them off their game at every opportunity. If Team Red is going to get anywhere, they need to exploit those lapses in concentration!

Team Navy: ones to watch

The Thog Partnership – the best pairing in the competition has to be this father and son duo. Thogdad will know his son’s every move, meaning he should be able to pick him out all over the park. They’ll be looking to channel the ability of Bolton greats like Ivan Campo and Jay-Jay Okocha.

Player of the Tournament

PieFace – a name you might not have expected. Admittedly, he’s not built like an athlete, but we think there is hidden power in those legs and we might see a magic moment from the Plymouth Argyle man.

This is what
