FIFA 22 Leaks: Ones to Watch Predictions

Written by Stakester

Ones to Watch cards are always exciting in Ultimate Team. Not only are they the first promo of the new FIFA season, but these evolving cards are linked to a player’s real life performance and their ratings can soar if they perform out there on the pitch. OTW cards aren’t always for your big stars, this is about spotting someone who’s about to make their name at a new club.  So, with that said, here are our predictions for FIFA 22 One to Watch cards!

Dušan Vlahović

One of the hottest talents in the Serie A this season, Vlahović has lit up Fiorentina’s performances with his skills. In 36 Serie A appearances he bagged 21 goals and 2 assists – only Haaland beats his record when it comes to players under 22 in Europe’s top-five leagues. He’s performed so well that he is now attracting attention from big clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United. A transfer to one of these clubs could see him involved in the first promo of the season.

So, we think the young Serb is in with a shout of earning a One to Watch card in FIFA 22. His base card on the current game is a 70 OVR, but he did earn a 78 OVR in-form, so we expect any potential OTW to start with a rating around the 78 mark. He’s showing serious potential, but he’s also unlikely to be receiving in-forms week in week out – this makes him the ideal player to feature in the next set of evolving cards.

Pedri

Even though Messi is still dominating at Barcelona, the team needs to continue planning for the future. Luckily for the Catalonian team, they have an up and coming talent in the form of Pedri. The 18 year old attacking midfielder has already been referred to by some as the next Xavi, but then again, we all heard Brendan Rodgers call Joe Allen the “Welsh Xavi”, so better not get too excited.

He’s scored 4 goals and made 6 assists for his team, which isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but we could see him move out on loan in next season – which would make him eligible for a Ones to Watch card. In FIFA 21, Pedri had a 72 rated LM card, going into the next game we expect him to have at least a 75 rating. As Pedri aims to make waves next season, we’re sure he can earn a few OTW upgrades!

Jadon Sancho

The transfer rumours are red hot around Sancho this year! And with every good performance, the speculation of him returning home to English soil grows day by day. The only question that remains is which team he will be heading to? Manchester United are at the forefront of the talk, but with Liverpool needing to refresh their forward line his destination is still up for debate.

Sancho has scored 16 goals and registered 21 assists for Dortmund this season, which would mean a Ones to Watch card for the Camberwell Cristiano (probably not going to catch on) would be a beast!

Harry Kane

Sorry Tottenham fans, but it looks like your star man is packing his bags and leaving. At 27 years old, it seems like he’s finally accepted that he’s going to have to move on if he’s to win the silverware his talent deserves. He’s not lacking in potential suitors, with both Manchester clubs and Chelsea interested in securing his signature.

With Kane in his prime years, any potential Ones to Watch card would be a must-have for every Ultimate Team. This would be especially true if he manages to bag this year’s Golden Boot, as then we’d likely see an improved base rating to around the 90 mark!

Georginio Wijnaldum

Wijnaldum looks set to leave Merseyside after 5 years with Liverpool. In that time he has helped secure a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup, a Club World Cup and a Premier League title. But now, it seems like the time has come for the Dutchman to move on to pastures anew.

His destination appears to be Barcelona, and with Jurgen Klopp himself confirming that Wijnaldum is a world class talent, his OTW card is sure to be great.
