FIFA 22 TOTGS Leak: Ronaldo, Salah, Antony, plus Nkunku

Lewandowski joins the headliners. Plus, Antony AND ANOTHER Nkunku – and potential new-best-CB-in-the-game Tiago Djaló.

The @TrustyFutTrader is at it again, with a full leak of players to be included in the Team of the Group Stage on Friday. So far, we’ve only got names for the Champions League, with the Europa and Conference Leagues still to follow.

So, let’s see who got the cool card design and made the TOTGS promo in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

Big names, big stats

So let’s start with the big names: Ronaldo, Lewandowski and Salah were in almost every TOTGS prediction – and you didn’t need to be a stats geek to pick them out. But, Joao Cancelo and Marquinhos will also feature, putting two more top tier defenders on the market.

We can expect an 88 for Cancelo and a 90 rated Marquinhos. Both of these cards are likely to be super expensive, but may drop the price of existing IF cards. They’re both quick, and Cancelo has great in-games on the ball. Pulling either card could set you up financially, or add an insane player to your squad.

Unfortunately for OTW owners, a TOTGS card will not deliver an upgrade, so if you’re lucky enough to own OWT Ronaldo, you’ll have to wait.

An exciting TOTGS

The second batch of leaks is more interesting, with Ajax wonderkid Antony and Tiago Djalo looking the most intriguing inclusions. Trent and Bruno will obviously be beasts: Bruno’s gold might be at fodder price, but he’s still very effective in CM and Trent’s RB card shows what he can do with a pace boost.

Antony looks like he’s going to get a seriously good card, given that his gold already has great pace and dribbling. And he deserves it, having helped Ajax through an amazing group stage campaign which saw them win the group ahead of Haaland and Borussia Dortmund.

If you did the Eredivisie Foundations objectives, you could build a nice team with him and RTTK Gravenberch. If you did the Neres SBC, we’re sorry, but you can also link the two if you change one of them to an RF and play them up front.

Nkunku will get yet another special card, but with 7 goals in 5 matches it’s hard to argue that he hasn’t earned it. Fellow Bundesliga winger Leroy Sane will also join him – but it’s hard to imagine that his TOTGS will be better than his Road to the Knockouts with the double upgrade. Let’s see what EA Sports come up with.

Lille CB Tiago Djalo is a surprise inclusion, but he could strike terror into the hearts of slow STs everywhere. His Silver has 83 pace – and if the rest of his stats get a major upgrade he could be seriously useful.

With pace so crucial again this year, he could help you mop up at the back with ease. Plus he’s got those valuable Ligue 1 links to the PSG massive.

Speaking of the Qatario crew from Paris, who doesn’t love a promo GK? We got Eduoard Mendy in Signature Signings and now we’re getting a special Donnaruma. Because his gold card just wasn’t broken enough! Rumours suggest that he’ll join his international teammate Federico Chiesa in TOTGS in FIFA 22.

When does the promo drop?

As usual, we can expect the cards to land in the store at 6pm GMT on Friday. So, it’s time to save your packs from rewards this week and pray for a good pull. Even though there is one round of European competition remaining, these are not live cards and will receive no upgrades, no matter what happens next week in the UEFA Champions League.
