FIFA 22 TOTW 12 Prediction: Bernardo, Militao, Son, Cuadrado

Written by Stakester

Mason Mount, Fred and Calhanoğlu make up the mid tier, with four top META players on offer.

It’s that time of the week again! With some big names putting in top performances in the Premiership, Serie A and La Liga, we should get some decent cards on offer in the TOTW 12 Team that drops on Wednesday December 8th

Here’s Stakester’s FIFA 22 TOTW 12 Prediction:

Bernardo Silva Concept Card

Bernardo Silva

It’s hard to believe that Manchester City were thinking about selling Bernardo Silva earlier this season! The Portuguese maestro has been tearing it up lately, scoring amazing goals in key wins against Watford and Villa.

If you did his TOTGS SBC, you won’t be interested, but if you missed it – a +1 upgrade makes him a really solid CAM. Great dribbling and passing stats make him the perfect creative player, with strong links to Premier League and Portuguese players.

There’s something about his dribbling in-game that makes him really difficult to predict, and we think you could cause some havoc with this card if you’re good on the ball. That crucial composure stat (87 on his base card) means he’s likely to be clinical in front of goal too.

Juan Cuadrado Concept Card

Juan Cuadrado

The Colombian scored direct from a corner against Genoa at the weekend, putting him in an exclusive club of dead ball specialists. Whether he meant it is another question, but it takes nothing away from a brilliant delivery.

Thanks to his top tier pace, Cuadrado has always been a firm FIFA favourite and FUT 22 is no exception. His mix of pace and physicality allows him to get up and down the touchline for the full 90 minutes, and he represents a real goal threat with his pace.

With strong links to the De Ligt RTTK, he’ll make a formidable addition to any Serie A-based squad. If you completed the Uribe squad foundations card you’ve also got the option to play them both.

Son Concept Card

Heung-min Son

Tottenham may be having the most Spurs-y season ever so far, but they seem to be back on track under Antonio Conte. Sonaldo scored the third goal in the 3-0 win over Norwich on Sunday, and looks to be getting back to his best.

This would be his second IF card, and however the in-games shape up he is going to be a beast. With amazing finishing and composure, plus great pace, he’s sure to be one of the best options at ST in the game.

There’s just something about Son on FIFA, he is always one of the most lethal gold cards on the game and any IF or promo card is always exciting. If you don’t get your hands on this card, his first IF is currently sitting at 240k on Futbin, and is sure to drop after this release.

Militao Concept Card

Eder Militao

The stats from Militao’s brilliant performance at the weekend really speak for themselves. The Brazilian CB is starting to repay Real Madrid’s faith in him and step into those massive, Sergio Ramos sized boots in the centre of defence.

85 Pace, 85 defending and 83 physical will make him an absolute brick wall. Good acceleration and aggression means you can steam into tackles and take the ball away with you. He’ll be well equipped to deal with more physical STs too.

And his link potential is very strong. He’d make a great partner for TOTW Alaba, who is available for a very reasonable 22k. He also has strong links with Mendy or Renan Lodi (if you’re flush with cash) – and can even be paired with Marquinhos to link to the PSG massive.

Best of the rest

With a goal in Ralf Ragnick’s first game in charge, Fred looks set to make the TOTW for the first time in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. Mason Mount scored a screamer in Chelsea’s loss to West Ham and should be included too. Hakan Çalhanoğlu also scored direct from a corner in Inter’s 3-0 demolition of Roma, so he should also make the cut.

Here’s the mid-tier picks and their ratings:

  • Fred – 84
  • Mount – 86
  • Çalhanoğlu – 84

Fred is probably the most usable card on offer, but he won’t be as effective as his RTTK card. Mount and Çalhanoğlu
