FIFA 22 TOTW 18 Prediction: Lewandowski, KDB and Fernandes
After a quiet few weeks, it looks like we’re in for a star-studded lineup for TOTW 18!
The past few Team of the Week releases in FIFA Ultimate Team have been a little lacklustre, but that looks set to change. Over the past week, the world’s top footballing talent has put in some seriously impressive performances, so some of us are going to be packing some stacked cards! Here’s our FIFA 22 TOTW 18 Prediction.
Featured Item: Jeremiah St. Juste
The Dutch centre back put in a domineering display against VfL Bochum. He helped his team keep a clean sheet and contributed at the top of the pitch as well when he slotted home a fine defender’s goal.
You can expect St. Juste to become a regular part of any cheap-meta team when he receives an upgrade to an 84 overall. His pace will also be well above 90, which means that as well as clearing up for the backline, he’ll also be able to go on marauding runs forward and get on the scoresheet for your FUT squad too!
Bayern Munich’s Lewangoalski is living up to his name and this weekend he bagged a hat trick to take his Bundesliga tally to 300! Given he’s only the second person in the Bundesliga’s history to achieve that milestone, EA would be missing a trick if they didn’t give him a well-deserved TOTW card.
Lewandoski has already received one TOTW card this season, so his overall would increase to a whopping 94 – making IF Lewandowski a great goal scoring addition to any top tier team – just ignore the pace.
Kevin De Bruyne
Man City took on Chelsea at the weekend as they looked to continue their 11 game unbeaten run in the Premier League. The game was dominated by City, but they still struggled to finish their chances. That was until De Bruyne curled a beautiful shot into the bottom corner from range.
De Bruyne would receive a 93 rated midfielder card if he makes the Team of the Week, and you can expect the card to have the creative ability to be the heart of any team’s attack!
Bruno and his Manchester United team mates looked as if they were cruising to an easy victory on the road after he scored 2 goals in 67 minutes. But Philippe Coutinho came on and ruined the party with a goal and an assist on his debut.
Despite that, the Portuguese creative midfielder’s performance could not be faulted and we think he’s done more than enough to secure an upgrade. This would see an 89-rated Bruno added to packs, making him a brilliant choice for any Prem squad.
Dybala helped his team bounce back from an agonising defeat in the Supercoppa Final by scoring a well-taken first goal in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Udinese. The Argentinian did cause a little bit of controversy by choosing not to celebrate his goal amid a long and drawn out contract negotiation with the club.
In the digital world, you can expect Dybala to receive his first Team of the Week of the season with an 88 overall rating. His base card hasn’t been popular since the early game, but we think that his improved card will be a hit with Serie A team owners.
Wissam Ben Yedder
Rounding out our TOTW 18 prediction list is Ben Yedder. He scored twice in Monaco’s comprehensive 4-0 victory over Clermont Foot, including a coolly taken penalty.
Ben Yedder will finally receive a TOTW item, giving a more affordable option than his Signature Signings item. Yedder is a real fans’ favourite on FIFA, with good WF, shooting and a mobile, low centre of gravity. The Rat King rides again!
The best of the rest
