FIFA 22 TOTW 23 Prediction: Ones to Watch Jadon Sancho, Kane
Another week of football was rounded out with great displays by Europe’s top talent – including an assist from a Prem keeper!
Our FIFA 22 TOTW 23 prediction is back, it’s the usual suspects who have once again made the list! There looks to be some top Prem talent (both past and present) coming our way in the form of TOTW cards. Plus, a certain French striker continues his unstoppable run of form (or he’s blackmailing someone at EA, could be both!) Read on and check it out!
In a game that blew the title race wide open, Harry Kane popped up with his second goal at the death in this five goal thriller. The 3-2 scoreline probably wouldn’t give it away, but Spurs were second best with only 28% possession throughout the match – but, they made sure it counted in the final third. The same can’t be said for Man City.
Son also gets a shoutout – he was the real catalyst for his team – but the TOTW card has to go to the hero of the game Kane!
Kane will receive a 92 overall card, but with pace in the low 70’s, he’s just not META enough to make it into many teams in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. With that said, if you ever find yourself in a spot where you need to throw everything and the kitchen sink at an opponent, having a player with 93 shooting, 86 dribbling and 85 physical is always going to be a bonus!
Usually, keepers are claiming TOTWs for clean sheets – it’s not very often that one makes the list for Assisting Mo Salah, but here’s Alisson! He played a sublime pass from his own box all the way to the Egyptian attacker who promptly sat down the goalkeeper and passed the ball into the bottom corner.
An in-form for Alisson would likely be 90 rated and make him a top pick for most Prem squads. Given the sheer power that was put into his pinpoint pass to Salah, surely EA might give him a decent kicking boost too!
Auba opened his account for Barcelona in style with a hat trick against Valencia! We say in style – Aubameyang’s third goal was eventually given to him after Pedri’s shot glanced off his back and found the back of the net – so make of that what you will. But, a hattrick is a hattrick, so the Gabonese striker will no doubt receive a TOTW card this week!
An 87 overall card will be accompanied by great pace and finishing stats. But, don’t expect this card to be anything more than an option for an out and out striker, as his low passing ability will mean Aubameyand will mostly contribute to your squad with goals of his own.
Another player from the Premier League! Sancho’s start to life in Manchester was a little lacklustre, but he seems to be slowly regaining the swagger from his Borussia Dortmund days. In Manchester United’s action-packed game against Leeds, Sancho managed to provide two assists for his teammates which makes him a likely candidate for a Team of the Week upgrade.
Thanks to that slow start we talked about, Sancho’s OTW card hasn’t yet received an update – but with his performance at the weekend, that could be set to change! An 88 overall card would see his stats boosted to include 92 dribbling and 83 passing. However, this card is still going to be well outside of the meta with low pace and not even the physicality to make up for it. Unlucky Jadon!
Benzema continued to thrive in the form of his life over the weekend, providing 2 assists for his teammates and then killing off the game with a goal from a penalty. He’s proving himself to be a true Galactico worthy of the captain’s armband!
At 92 overall, this CF card is incredibly well-rounded (even without blistering pace stats). 90 shooting, 91 dribbling and 85 passing gives Benzema ll of the necessary stats to become a real catalyst – provide him with the right chem style and he could also convert into a pacey attacking option.
Best of the rest:
Hakim Ziyech – Chelsea – 87 – scored Chelsea’s only goal in their 1-0 win.
João Félix – Atlético Madrid – 85 – Scored and assisted this weekend!
Headliners Teji Savanier – Montpellier – 88 – shot Montpellier to a 1-0 win over Lorient.
