FIFA 22 TOTW 25 Prediction: 93 Kevin de Bruyne, 87 Saka
We’re entering a cool-down period from the previous week’s TOTW Mbappe, but a premier league leader makes the lineup!
Our FIFA 22 TOTW 25 prediction may not be as star-studded as last week’s, but we still have some top quality predictions incoming! It’s another week where the performances of some of the Premier League’s top talent just refused to go unnoticed, meaning we could be seeing a number of Prem cards in FIFA Ultimate Team for this week’s Team of the Week!
Kevin de Bruyne
The Manchester derby is always one of the most highly anticipated games of the season, but this instalment of the age-old rivalry turned out to be a blowout. Manchester City totally outclassed their Manchester United counterparts, and the man at the middle of it all was KDB. The Belgian midfielder picked up 2 goals and an assist on his way to picking up 3 points and the man of the match award.
At this stage of the game, a TOTW for de Bruyne would be a 93 overall, meaning he’d be able to make his way into any team. The current lowest price for his 92 IF is 175k, so you can expect this card to sail over the 200,000 mark very easily!
For what feels like the first time in years, the mood over at The Emirates is positive – unfortunately for the neutral, that means Arsenal Fan TV is no longer the barrel of laughs it once was. The Gunners are gunning for a top 4 finish, and it was Saka who propelled his team forward this weekend, with a goal and an assist in their 3-2 victory.
Saka’s potential Team of the Week card would be his third of the game and see him receive an 87 overall. At this point in the game cycle, a card like that probably isn’t going to be one of the first names on your team sheet. But, he could work very well as an impact sub given his pace and dribbling ability!
The Croatian might be entering the twilight of his career, but Modric still showed why he’s still one of the best players in his position with a goal and an assist in Real Madrid’s win over Real Sociedad.
At 88 overall, Modric looks like an attractive card on the surface. But, with FIFA’s meta the way it is, the likelihood is that this card will just become a decent bit of fodder for your club – a shame, as in real life, Modric is a certified baller!
Inter Milan continue to look incredibly strong in Serie A, and this weekend they notched a 5-0 win over bottom of the table Salernitana. At the head of that performance was Martinez, who smashed home three goals to secure his hat trick and end his goal-drought!
A TOTW for MArtinez would be a very solid 87 overall, with well-rounded attacking stats which could cause a number of problems for the opposition defence. As with most cards that don’t touch the 90s, this card is a good backup, but you should look elsewhere when recruiting for your starting squad.
Another man at the heart of a good team performance was Kai Havertz, who scored 2 goals in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Burnley. His first goal was a well-taken header, nodded in at the far post – we can’t say the same for the second, but a goal is a goal!
Havertz’s Team of the Week would be an 86 overall, which could definitely be a decent option for your midfield if you’re on a bit of a budget!
Best of the rest:
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 88 – assisted and kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.
Ivan Toney – 86 – Bagged himself a hattrick!
Felipe Anderson – 86 TOTW, 88 Headliners – goal and assist in a 3-0 win.
