FIFA 22 TOTW 29 Prediction: 96 Mbappe, 91 Sterling
This is not a drill: in the TOTW 29 prediction we have the most meta META player. It’s 96 Mbappe!
Join us for our weekly roundup of the best players who gave the best performances in the big 6 leagues! In our FIFA 22 TOTW 29 prediction, we have a well-rounded lineup from the Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga and the Bundesliga. Now, like Antonio Rudiger when he sees a shithouse opportunity, let’s get into it!
Coming in at number one, and the man who made sure EA Sports had no option but to give him an in-form card is Mbappé. The Frenchman had the perfect game in PSG’s 5-1 win over Lorient in which Mbappé, Neymar AND Messi all scored; he had a hand in all 5 goals, scoring twice and assisting an incredible 3 times!
The future GOAT contender will receive a 94 in-form, but all eyes will no doubt be on his Headliners card which will see a boost up to 96! Pace is already maxed out, but we’ll see considerable improvements in both passing and dribbling – so if you’ve got the cash to splash on this 3.4 million coin card, you’ll be buying a certified baller.
The weight of the title race was bearing down on Manchester City in their game against Burnley at the weekend. In the end, they didn’t even need to worry, as they saw off the struggling Burnley side with a 2-0 victory. The man at the heart of the win was Raheem Sterling, who assisted goals for De Bruyne and Gundogan.
Any upgrade would be Sterling’s third in-form upgrade, and will see the pacey English attacker receive a 91 overall rating. Both his pace and his dribbling would be in the 90s, and with 85 shooting, he’s sure to contribute towards your club’s goal tally!
Bayern have stormed ahead in the Bundesliga, but were coming off the back of 2 draws in a row when they faced Freiburg. Gnabry made sure his team got back to winning ways though, with a goal and an assist in the league leaders’ 4-1 win over Freiburg.
His standard TOTW special card would be 87 overall, but just like Mbappé, Gnabry’s Headliners will be getting a more attractive boost up to 89! He’d finally be joining the 90 dribbling club, and has the pace to cause problems for fullbacks.
Atletico Madrid have been out of the title race for some time now, all they have left to battle for in the league is second place. However, that didn’t stop them from demolishing Alaves at the weekend, and Félix played a big role in that. He scored 2 goals in a 4-1 win to keep them level on points with Barcelona.
The Portuguese attacker hasn’t received an in-form as of yet, meaning that this card would only be rated 85. That’s probably not good enough to get into your team at this point in the game, but it could be a great card for future SBCs.
Here’s a name that we should all start getting used to seeing more and more. The Barca midfielder calmly sat down 2 Sevilla defenders before guiding the ball home to the bottom corner from outside of the area!
Similarly to Félix, this would be Pedri’s first ever in-form, and for that reason would only be an 84. But, considering that the young midfielder looks set to carry Barcelona into its next generation of all-conquering football, this is definitely a cool card to pack and look back on!
Best of the rest
Son Heung-min – 92 – goal and an assist against Newcastle
Lorenzo Insigne – 88 – goal and assist against Atalanta
Samir Handanović – 88 – clean sheet against Juventus
