FIFA 23 Leaks: latest update on the FUT 23 World Cup
The FUT 23 World Cup has already got everyone talking, months in advance!
Love it or loathe it, the 2022 Qatar World Cup is great for us FIFA fans; we get the added bonus of a FUT 23 World Cup! EA Sports has so far been very tight-lipped about the event, especially in the release trailer for Ultimate Team. But, leakers on social media have released a few extra details on what we can expect from the event!
FUT 23 World Cup details
Price: it’s a totally free DLC – also, we’ve heard reports that there will be no pay-to-wn in the game mode. That means no need to spend money on packs, instead you’ll be getting stacked teams just from playing the game.
Release date: the game mode’s release date will align with the beginning of the competition in November.
Game modes: there’ll be something for every type of FIFA player – you’ll be able to take on the online servers, or you can keep it low-key and play solo offline.
FUT World Cup Heroes: the inclusion of Hero players in this game mode also hints at the inclusion of other special cards! Hopefully, these will carry over into the full game.
Men’s and Women’s World Cups: the recent Lioness Euros victory has shown that football is truly a game for everyone. FIFA is following suit by having both the men’s and women’s World Cups in Ultimate Team.
World Cup stadiums: the great news is every World Cup stadium will be playable! This means that we won’t have to go through the pain of playing an amazing game mode in EA’s bog standard stadiums.
World Cup nations: every World Cup nation will be playable in the game!
Brand new nations
There is a whole host of new national teams coming to FIFA Ultimate Team, including the likes of Japan, Senegal and Uruguay!
