Social sportsbooks are still fairly new, but there are several social sportsbook apps that give easy access to what’s happening on the sports field, pitch, or court. I’ll list the three top apps you can check out today.
Sportzino, Fliff, and Legendz all provide social betting using virtual currencies, and I’ll review them all here. Before I get down to the social sportsbook apps, it makes sense to understand how the format works first. I’ve reviewed lots of sweepstakes casinos that offer two in-house virtual currencies, plenty of social gameplay, and a chance to win Sweeps Coins which can then be redeemed for real cash prizes. The same basic format works for social sportsbooks, including Sportzino and Fliff, too. None of these are real-money sportsbooks – they use an entirely different template to be able to offer social betting.
In this case, instead of enjoying social casino games, I can visit a social sportsbook or download an app, and make social bets on various teams, individual players, matches, and so on. All these sites have two in-house virtual currencies, just the same as the sweepstakes casinos do. I’ll focus on those first, as you’ll soon get to know them when you start visiting these sites.

If you then win some because you made the right pick, you can redeem your Sweeps Coins winnings and get a real prize. There’s no requirement to purchase any Gold Coin packs throughout your time with one of these social betting sites or apps.
Any Sweeps Coins (or whichever version of that is used at a specific site, like Fliff Cash at Fliff) must be played through when received. It’s only ever the SC winnings that become redeemable for a real cash prize. I always review the Sweeps Rules at each site, as I’ve noticed there can be differences in playthrough – sometimes called wagering requirements for social betting sites.
Social betting is similar to social casinos in that these sites aren’t required to have a license in place before they can offer their services to bettors. Traditional sportsbooks are only available in a few US states – the ones that have legally permitted them to operate online.

There is an A-to-Z list of sports on the menu, just underneath the most popular sports at the moment. I found the Legendz app easier to use than the others, but that’s my personal take. Legendz feels a lot like a regular sportsbook, offering an alternative social sportsbook format that lets me have some social picks on live sports and future events. There are American, decimal, and fractional odds, which I could change with a click or tap. It took me longer to settle in with this social sportsbook app, but that was ultimately a good thing as it turned out to be my favorite.
While I was able to visit Fliff’s website, it was clear the service is available primarily via its two apps for Android and iOS users. They’ve established strong ratings in both stores, with plenty of positive reviews coming in as well. It was difficult to get a clear sense of the welcome bonus, as I received 5,000 Fliff Coins (these are identical to Gold Coins used on other sites) and 1 Fliff Cash (identical to Sweeps Coins). I did spot other people saying they’d got 15,000 Fliff Coins and 2.5 Fliff Cash, so maybe it occasionally varies. I did pick up 5,000 Fliff Coins and 1 Fliff Cash as a daily login bonus, though.
Either way, the Fliff Coins allowed me to make some social sports picks on all the top sports, from the NBA to the NFL. There’s a big social side here as well, with challenges and loyalty rewards cropping up too. I noted five challenges per day, each offering XPs for completion. I found Fliff had a much more social aspect to it compared with similar sites.
This is a giant welcome package for new signups at Sportzino. I received 20,000 Gold Coins and 1 Sweeps Coin when I registered my account with them. However, there were six other things I could do to increase the welcome offer to 220,000 Gold Coins and 10 Sweeps Coins. These included another 30k GC and 1 SC for verifying my phone number. You can pick and choose what you want to do.
The social sportsbook is available on a computer, or you can download the Sportzino app to your iOS or Android device. Either way, there are virtual sports, eSports, and social betting provided. It covers all the major sports, along with providing plenty of less common ones. Lacrosse and water polo were among the more unusual entries there.

The way social bettors interact with these apps depends on the format and brand in question. However, I’ve noted a few things worth looking for:
The Legendz VIP program is a good example of how this can work. There are five levels from Pioneer to Legend. The Pioneer level involves basic promotions and a daily bonus, which improves in size once the second level (Visionary) is reached. Fliff has a loyalty program involving XP points that will help you go through the ranks.
Even though these social sportsbook apps don’t involve betting with real funds, I like to see a responsible approach to this topic. Legendz offers a five-page document via its responsible social gaming link. Fliff has a four-stage section covering support and staying in control. No GC bundle purchase is necessary when using social sportsbooks, but it’s good to see these brands taking their responsibilities seriously.
I always check whether any social sportsbooks maintain an active social media presence. All three brands I’ve reviewed here do so, with pages to view on Facebook and Instagram. They’re ideal for chatting with other fans of the service, along with looking for various competitions and other events that may have Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins available as prizes. Note that any Sweeps Coins won in this manner should usually be used for social bets to meet the usual playthrough requirements. Sportzino tends to offer promos connected to its social casino aspect, such as asking for a favorite social game for a chance to win some Gold Coins.
I prefer the convenience of tapping on an app logo to access a social sportsbook. However, the Sportzino mobile site has proved that a browser-focused service also works well. Social sportsbooks give sports fans the chance to make social bets on their favorite teams and events.
There is no need to purchase a Gold Coin bundle, and betting with Sweeps Coins does give me a chance to try and win more of this virtual currency if my social bet is successful. I can redeem Sweeps Coins winnings for a real cash prize, adding more appeal to this format, but there is obviously no guarantee for a win.
