The 3 best ways to use the Web App before FUT 22 launches
The launch of EA Sports’ highly anticipated FIFA 22 is now just days away! But, before the 1st of October, you can get a head start on the competition by downloading the Web App. You won’t be able to play any games, but some savvy trading could give you a big advantage and a great start to the new season of FIFA Ultimate Team.
If you’re new to the game, you’ll want to check out our tips below – and if you’re a seasoned pro, read on to find out if you’re missing a trick.
This one is kind of obvious, but you should aim to get all of the starter SBCs done on the Web App. Doing this will free up your time both in the 10 hours early access (if you’re a bougie EA Play subscriber) and when the game drops for the rest of us peasants.
Another huge tip – the league and hybrid SBCs have the best, highest value rewards. So, at the start of your game when you’re prompted to choose your league starter pack, make sure you choose a league which is usable in the early league/hybrid SBCs – in short, don’t just use your starter pack to build your starter squad.
This one is fundamental to your early success in the game! You can use the Web App to start making some quick cash which you can then use to kickstart your success when the full game drops. We have a few tips for the best ways you can trade early in the game:
- Buy average rated players – 80-83 players will be cheaper ahead of the launch of the full game, so make sure you stock up early! Once FIFA 22 lands and everyone is looking to get their starter teams up and running, these players will be in high demand and you’ll be snapping up the money.
- Keep to the top 6 leagues – think Prem, Bundelsiga and Serie A. Players from these leagues will naturally increase in value during the first weeks of the game. Use this tip along with tip number 1 and you’ll have a winning formula.
- Bid, don’t buy now – we know, waiting around for your bid to win can be boring! But, it’s much more profitable than “buying now”. So, have patience young padawan!
Building potential starter squads
This one is especially important if you have 10 hours of early access – you don’t want to be wasting those precious minutes building squads on your console. Instead, do any squad building on the companion app, that way, the full 10 hours can be dedicated to gameplay!
If you don’t have the early access, then you’ll still want to be building your starter squad on the Web App. Building your team before release means you’ll have no teething problems when the game releases – there’ll be no playing with a mixed team of silvers and golds with 37 chemistry – instead, you’ll be able to jump right into the action and start securing those Ws.
