Warzone Pacific Season Two Leaks
Everything you need to know about the latest Warzone leaks: including a new event, loadout changes and heavy bombers.
We’ve been enjoying the first season of Warzone Pacific. New Vanguard weapons and a much-needed change of scenery makes this our favourite Warzone season so far. And with the season 2 update around the corner, here’s all of the Warzone Pacific Season Two Leaks:
The release date has been… well, released for season two! And the leaks are coming thick and fast, so let’s get into it.
Warzone Pacific Season Two Leaks
The official release date has finally been dropped, announcing the release for the 14th of February. It was delayed previously, but now we have a date locked and loaded.
With every new season comes new in-game items and events. As usual, we can expect new guns, new operators, map changes, a themed event and some bug fixes. This themed event has been leaked; with rumours of gas weaponry, armoured convoys and even secret bunkers on the horizon! Thanks to ‘Reality’ and ‘TheGhostOfHope’ for discovering this information in an unpublished Activision blog post.
The compound south of the Docks POI looks set for a massive update in Season Two. Some eagle-eyed players noticed a change to the minimap that didn’t match the location. Raven Software responded by teasing a map overhaul.
Activision has been teasing military aircraft for a while, and we were disappointed by their absence from season one. But, it finally looks like they’ll make an appearance in season two – and they’ll arrive with a bang.
‘Reality’ leaked some code from the game files in a tweet that shows how devastating the attacks from bombers will be: “When it’s time to call in the big guns, there’s no better vehicle at your disposal than the Bomber. This aircraft packs a heavy punch, with seating for three in turrets and a spot for a pilot who can drop explosive payload-bombs that can turn buy stations into shrapnel and reduce loadout crates to debris.”
It’s unclear if the planes are here to stay in Warzone, or just appearing as part of a one-off event. It’s unclear what type of planes they even are! The description sounds like the iconic B-17 Flying Fortress, a long-range bomber that could survive heavy damage on raids. But, there are a range of medium bombers and dive bombers that could appear in this new Warzone air force.
Iron Trials are making a comeback
TheGhostOfHope and Reality also dropped further leaks that signal the return of the Iron Trials. A lot of players fell in love with this competitive mode – and so did we! The ruthless, intense experience it offers is Stakester all over. And now we get to do it all over again in World War II.
But, all is not as it seems. According to TheGhostOfHope, the Iron Trials won’t be coming to Caldera, they’ll be coming to Rebirth Island. After a brief absence from the game, this is a welcome return for a very popular map.
Lastly – and any unhappy players will be ecstatic to hear this one – we’re getting new loadouts. Ever since the move from Verdansk to Caldera, lots of players have been up in arms about the changes to loadout drops. Well, your prayers have been answered.
Players have been unable to purchase a loadout drop before the second circle, where they could then access the free loadout drop available to the whole lobby. This will revert back to the original loadout drop back in Verdansk, but it will remain in Vanguard’s online mode.
