Watch YouTubers Play FIFA for Money and Prizes!
Whatever happened to old school FIFA? Everything today is pay-to-win, broken FIFA Ultimate Team cards. So this one’s for the real FIFA fans!
Rory Jennings has launched a brand new FIFA show in collaboration with Stakester, which sees him take on your favourite YouTubers in a good old-fashioned showdown.
The Stakester Showdown
The show sees Chelsea fan and all-round entertainer Rory Jennings take on some top talent from the YouTube world in FIFA 21. To make it even more exciting, they’ll be taking the competition to the next level – by playing on the Stakester app with money and prizes on the line!
The first episode of the Stakester Showdown kicks off with Rory playing Pro Clubs legend JCC. Luckily for the host, JCC acts as more of a coach than an opponent, giving Rory the chance to avoid a really heavy battering, and get his journey to the “king of FIFA” title off to a decent start.
He didn’t impress everyone though, our favourite comment roasted him pretty hard: “The way Rory holds a controller reminds me of my grandad changing the tv channel”. If you watch it, it’s hard to argue.
Things got intense when Laurence McKenna of the True Geordie podcast, Rory’s second opponent, arrived on the scene. The first close-run game went to a rematch, but the second game was definitely more eventful…
The most recent episode was the toughest challenge yet as True Geordie’s producer, Elliot Hackney, joined Rory in the Stakester studio for their matchup. No punches were pulled – Hackney said that would be the case because he wanted revenge after Jennings had apparently leaked his phone number – and it led to an 8 goal thriller!
Rory certainly feels the extra heat and intensity that comes with playing FIFA 21 for money and prizes. Try it for yourself and see if you can take the pressure better than him!
