Industry First: Chumba Casino and Modo Partner with Daytona 500 Teams
Chumba Casino and Modo.us rev up their campaign, this time partnering with the Daytona 500 teams, an industry first

Chumba Casino and Modo.us, two of the biggest names in the US sweepstakes casino industry is shifting gears, at least in terms of advertising. The two operators recently announced their partnership with top Daytona 500 teams— Chumba wraps its name on Tyler Reddick’s No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota, and Modo sticks with Michael McDowell's No. 71 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.
The partnership is an industry-first and marketing move for the two popular sweepstakes casino operators currently facing increased regulatory scrutiny.
Last year, six states moved to ban sweepstakes casinos, and around a dozen other states have introduced bans or tighter regulations.
Chumba and Modo Make a High-Profile NASCAR 500 Debut

Advertising and influencer partnerships have been the norm in the sweepstakes casino industry. Stake.us regularly works with rapper Drake, and even Snoop Dogg joined the fun and dropped his own gaming platform.
Now, Chumba and Modo Casino aim to disrupt the advertising model by making their high-profile NASCAR debuts at the Daytona 500, sponsoring cars and backing racing teams.
- Chumba Casino. VGW wrapped Tyler Reddick's No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota, with its winning lap boosting the site’s visibility.
- Modo Casino. ARB Interactive’s Modo worked with Michael McDowell's No. 71 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.
There have been a few NASCAR x sweeps partnerships before, including Chumba’s 23XI Brickyard 400 win and Modo’s 2025 Spire races, but none reached the Daytona 500 primary treatment.
According to a VGW representative, its partnership with the team has been successful. The representative further added that “expanding our presence with Tyler and continuing our support of Bubba allows us to connect with NASCAR fans in bigger and more engaging ways, from on-track moments to unforgettable fan experiences and giveaways. We’re proud to be part of 23XI’s journey and look forward to another exciting season together”. This year, the Chumba x 23XI collab will include a second driver.
Chumba and Modo Speed Ahead Despite Regulatory Roadblock

Like other sweepstakes casinos, Chumba Casino and Modo faced increased scrutiny in 2025, and this has spilt over this year. Currently, the industry’s facing bans in important markets such as Connecticut and California, and nine others, plus plenty of cease-and-desist orders in multiple states like Illinois and Arizona over their use of the dual-currency model, which regulators argue resembles “illegal gambling”.
In response, a few operators adopted creative strategies to sidestep these new regulations and bans, such as adopting free gameplay only in restricted states, like Modo Casino in California.
However, many critics still see this as a questionable strategy that blurs the line between real-money gambling and free play.
