Legendz Announces Christmas Day Cutoff for SC Play in California, New Limits in Tennessee
Legendz ends Sweeps Coins (SCs) gameplay in California on December 25th, while limiting access to its Tennessee platform

The sweepstakes casinos’ California exit plans remain a hot-button issue in the broader iGaming industry. With a looming January 1st deadline, all eyes are on operators’ exit strategies.
Legendz, one of the top US operators, has announced its exit timeline for California and even Tennessee. On December 25th, Legendz shuts down its Sweeps Coins (SCs) gameplay, while keeping free play active, channelling the same moves by McLuck and Modo.us.
Then, it’s pulling the plug on SC's gameplay on Tennessee, too, reflecting a broader retreat for the popular sweeps operator.
Legendz Joins the Parade Out of California

Legendz isn’t the only operator exiting the state ahead of the looming ban. Here’s a rundown of exit schedules and strategies of the top sweepstakes casino operators in California:
- Stake.us. The popular sweeps operator prepares for a complete exit on December 30th. It’s still facing a lawsuit in the state, which some say is a primary consideration in its decision.
- VGW. There’s no specific timeline shared, but the operator of LuckyLand, Chumba Casino, and Global Poker is expected to wind up its operations for SCs by the deadline and continue free play beyond January 1st.
- Yellow Social Interactive Ltd. Pulsz Bingo and Pulsz Casino will exit by December 15th.
WOW Vegas. Now the schedule has been shared, but insiders say that the platform will remain active until the end of the year.
SCs Gameplay Ends in Tennessee, Too

Legendz also announced the end of Sweeps Coins (SCs) gameplay in Tennessee. Initially, only the sportsbook section was discontinued. However, with the prospects of new cease-and-desist orders, Legendz have decided SCs play, too.
If you’re in California, you must use the remaining SCs before December 25th, or initiate redemptions now. After this deadline, SC gameplay ends, and only free play remains.
If you’re based in Tennessee, all SC-based games will end, so no more games or even opportunities to initiate redemptions.
