LuckyStake Announces Departure From California

As of December 22nd, Lucky Stake is no longer accessible in California, pulling the plug for both GC and SC gameplay

LuckyStake News

LuckyStake, a sweeps casino brand operated by ELEVATETECH LTD, is officially out of the California gaming market. In an email sent to players, LuckyStake announced that its platform is no longer accessible in California starting December 22nd. All accounts are now automatically closed, and all remaining balances are in Gold Coins (GCs) and Sweeps Coins (SCs).

LuckyStake’s announcement isn’t surprising. For weeks, the state’s iGaming landscape has been busy with operators’ exits and changes to their roadmaps. WOW Vegas, for example, has announced a phased withdrawal, culminating on December 31st, at 11:59 p.m., starting January 1st, 2026, sweepstakes casinos like LuckyStake cannot legally operate in California due to AB831.
