Pulsz Pulls the Plug in California, Plans Complete Exit By December 15th
Pulsz will fully leave California by December 15, ending all play and purchases

Pulsz is the biggest brand to exit California ahead of the January 1st deadline. Right after Governor Gavin Newsom signed the bill banning sweepstakes casino operations, some of the largest brands have remained relatively silent. There was a trickle of exits from smaller operators, with High 5 Casino as arguably the biggest brand among them.
Now, Pulsz joins the march out of the California sweeps market.
In an email, Pulsz announced that it’s leaving the state, closing its two brands- Pulsz Casino and Pulsz Bingo. Both brands shared the same exit timeline, reminding players on the last day to purchase Gold Coins (GCs) and to prepare for their full closure.
Pulsz Bares Sweeps Timeline

Pulsz announced via email this week. Here’s a part of the message:
“Unfortunately, due to the passing of the legislation AB831 by the California State Legislature, we will no longer be able to offer Pulsz online social games and sweepstakes promotions to residents of California.”
Here’s the exit timeline, based on the email notice:
- November 17, 2025. Pulsz have stopped accepting mail-in requests for free Sweeps Coins (SCs)
- December 1, 2025. Players can no longer buy GC bundles.
- December 8, 2025. Last day to use and play all remaining SCs and GCs in your account.
- December 15, 2025. Players’ accounts will be closed, and the remaining virtual coins will expire. This is also the last day to initiate redemptions.
Players are advised to contact customer support if they have any questions or need clarification about the Pulsz exit plan.
Pulsz On the Move- What It Means, and Why It’s an Early Exit
Pulsz's early exit is expected, with the January 1st deadline fast approaching. By exiting this early, the company is trying to reduce legal risks and operational costs, rather than waiting for the deadline.
The company’s email also shows prompt and professional customer management. They’re giving players ample time to clear their accounts and use all remaining coins. It’s likely that Pulsz also feels the supplier pressure, with Evolution, Pragmatic, and Playtech announcing their exits ahead of time.
More importantly, there’s an obvious regulatory shift in the sweepstakes casino industry’s biggest market. Some say that California’s ban may be a turning point for the industry, and many stakeholders are silently watching on the sidelines.
