Sidepot Casino Pulls Out of Arizona Market

Sidepot Casino, the sweepstakes casino operated by Fliff Inc., has officially exited Arizona, becoming the seventh known sweeps brand to restrict access in the state.

This move comes weeks after Arizona’s gaming regulator, the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG), issued cease-and-desist letters to several major sweepstakes platforms, including Fliff, Pulsz, Thrillzz, and Betty Sweeps. Sidepot was not named directly but is owned and operated by the same parent company as Fliff.

Arizona Crackdown Triggers Multi-Platform Retreat

While Fliff received its cease-and-desist mid-August, Sidepot remained accessible—until now. As of this week, Arizona has been added to Sidepot’s list of excluded territories, which now covers 18 U.S. states and Canadian provinces.

Notably, Quebec also appears on the list, while Ontario and other Canadian markets remain accessible.

Fliff Inc. appears to have opted for a full Arizona retreat, likely anticipating enforcement risks across both platforms.

No New Law, But a Clear Message from Regulators

Although Arizona has not passed formal legislation banning sweepstakes casinos, the ADG’s actions since February 2025 send a clear signal. The department has branded several operators as “felony criminal enterprises,” citing violations of state gambling laws.

Seven platforms—including Stake.us, High 5 Casino, Modo.us, and now Sidepot—have withdrawn in response to regulatory pressure.

Without a legal ban in place, the ADG’s aggressive enforcement leaves operators walking a legal tightrope. More exits are expected unless operators can meet Arizona’s strict guidance on sweepstakes legality.
