ARB Interactive, a Miami-based social gaming company, is beefing up its ranks. In a corporate announcement made on December 10th,  ARB Interactive shared the appointments of veteran gaming attorney Bryan P. Schoeder as General Counsel and seasoned public policy expert Steve Arthur as its Vice President of Government Affairs.

The hiring underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its legal and regulatory capabilities as it continues to scale operations.

Interestingly, ARB Interactive’s latest move comes at a pivotal time for the sweepstakes casino industry. California and New York have already passed their anti-sweeps law, while other states have similar bills in the pipeline.

ARB Interactive Signals Compliance With Existing Regulations

The hiring of two experts in their respective fields reveals a great deal about ARB Interactive and its plans for its platforms, including Modo.us.

In a statement, Patrick Fechtmeyer, Chief Executive Officer of ARB Interactive, shared his enthusiasm for this new hiring. He shared that “[Schoeder’s] experience guiding organizations through rapidly evolving regulatory landscapes will be invaluable as ARB continues expanding our footprint and building the gold standard in social casino compliance”.

On Steve’s hiring, Fechtmeyer highlighted his unmatched experience in policy making, particularly his relationships with states’ Attorneys General. He added that these relationships can help as “ARB ARB continues educating stakeholders about the social casino and sweepstakes ecosystems”.

Steve’s political background and connections can also help ARB’s legislative strategy, as most states continue to debate sweepstakes casinos, particularly the use of the dual-currency model. His experience and connections can help steer the discussions into the industry’s favor, or at least create favorable regulations for operators and stakeholders.

Here’s Why These New Hires Matter

ARB Interactive’s hiring isn’t just HR moves; these are strategic, highlighting the company’s commitment to compliance and responsible gambling initiatives.

Shroeder’s deep experience working with major gaming firms can help ARB navigate the complexities of regulations and compliance. Steve’s selection, on the other hand, can help push the legislative agenda not just of the company but of the broader industry.
