Bitsler.io and Starlight Casino are closing shop ahead of California’s 2026 prohibition on dual-currency sweepstakes casinos.

Why this is happening

California’s AB 831 bans online sweepstakes casinos that mimic real-money gambling starting January 1, 2026; lawmakers passed it in September and Gov. Gavin Newsom signed it in October.
