Legendz Casino Exits California, Alongside 2 More Sites
Sweeps shutdown tally hits eight as Legendz, TheBoss, and Grand Vault go offline in California.

Three more names have joined the growing list of sweepstakes casinos pulling out of California ahead of the 2026 ban. Among them: industry heavyweight Legendz Casino, which is exiting both California and Tennessee—its 13th and 14th restricted markets.
Unlike WOW Vegas, which has publicly committed to staying in California until the January 1, 2026 deadline, Legendz is opting for a more risk-averse exit strategy. According to information obtained by Sweepsy, the shutdown includes both Sweeps Coin and Gold Coin games, meaning the entire platform will go dark in those states.
Who’s Out So Far: 8 Brands and Counting
With Legendz, TheBoss Casino, and Grand Vault Casino now offline in California, the state’s running tally of sweeps site exits has hit eight:
- Carnival Citi
- Ruby Sweeps
- Dara Casino
- High 5
- SweepsUSA
- Legendz
- TheBoss
- Grand Vault
While lesser-known brands like Carnival Citi and Dara were early to go, Legendz is one of the most recognisable exits yet, signaling a turning point in how operators are responding to California’s incoming regulation.
Restricted States for Legendz Casino
Legendz Casino, owned by Platinum Panther Ltd., now excludes players in the following jurisdictions:
- California
- Connecticut
- Idaho
- Michigan
- Montana
- Nebraska
- Nevada
- New Jersey
- New York
- North Dakota
- Ohio (sportsbook only)
- Tennessee
- Washington
- West Virginia
Though Tennessee was previously sportsbook-only, this update suggests a broader platform shutdown, pending further clarification.
Bigger Operators Hold Position
Despite the exits, larger operators remain unmoved. WOW Vegas fully intends to continue operating in California until the law kicks in.
Other major sweepstakes casino brands—VGW (Chumba Casino, Global Poker), B-Two Operations (McLuck, Hello Millions, SpinBlitz), ARB Interactive (Modo Casino), Yellow Social Interactive (Pulsz Casino), and A1 Development (FunzCity, NoLimitCoins)—have yet to issue exit strategies.
For now, it’s a waiting game. Smaller sites may bow out early to avoid compliance risk, while the heavyweights ride the wave until the final buzzer.
