Pretend wallet. No real money, no sweepstakes entries, no account.

Runs in your browser, nothing to install.

Stakester Originals are built by Stakester, the company behind this directory. The odds and rules on these pages come from the games' published documentation, and our casino rankings are not affected by whether a casino carries them.

Provably fair, in three steps

  1. 1. Commit

Before you stake, the game publishes the hash of the server seed the round will use.

  2. 2. Play

The result is computed from that seed, a client seed your browser holds and a nonce, with HMAC-SHA256.

  3. 3. Reveal

When the round closes the seed is revealed, so you can recompute the result and check the hash.

Rules, odds and how to play

How to play

Place your stake and you are dealt two cards face up; the dealer shows one card and keeps one hidden. The aim is to get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Hit to take another card, Stand to keep your hand, Double to double the stake for exactly one more card, and Split a pair into two hands. When the dealer's up card is an ace you can take Insurance against a dealer blackjack.

Rules at a glance

  • Six decks, reshuffled from the fairness seeds for every round.
  • The dealer stands on soft 17 and peeks for blackjack.
  • Blackjack pays 3:2; insurance pays 2:1.
  • Split into up to four hands, with doubling after a split allowed; split aces get one card each and cannot be split again.
  • No surrender.

Odds and payouts

A natural pays 3:2, so a 10 SC stake wins 15 SC. Any other winning hand pays 1:1 and a push returns the stake. The 99.5 percent return is the figure the operator declares for this preset: because blackjack depends on how you play, the engine cannot compute it, and the real return follows your decisions. Basic strategy gets you closest to it.

Provably fair

The whole shoe is shuffled before the first card is dealt, with a Fisher-Yates shuffle driven by the server seed, your client seed and a nonce. The server seed is committed by its hash before you stake and revealed when the round closes, so you can recompute the result and check that the hash matches. The Fairness panel inside the game shows the seeds and the formula. In the free demo the server seed is generated in your own browser, so the check is a demonstration rather than independent proof; at a casino the game service holds the seed. The shuffle can be recomputed and compared card by card.

Playing it well

Basic strategy is the whole game: hit hard 12 to 16 against a 7 or higher, stand on 13 to 16 against a dealer 2 to 6 (12 only against 4 to 6), double 10 against 2 to 9 and 11 against 2 to 10, always split aces and eights, never split tens. Insurance is a side bet with a worse return than the main hand. Play it right and blackjack has the lowest house edge of any original here.

Blackjack FAQs

Does the dealer hit or stand on soft 17?

The dealer stands on soft 17 at the default rules, which is the better rule for the player.

How many decks does Stakester Blackjack use?

Six decks, reshuffled from the fairness seeds before every round, so there is no shoe to count.

Does blackjack pay 3:2 or 6:5?

3:2 at the default rules. A casino can configure the payout; the game plays whatever rules its casino has set.

Can I split and double down?

Yes. You can split into up to four hands and double after a split. Split aces receive one card each and cannot be split again. There is no surrender.

What is the RTP of Stakester Blackjack?

99.5 percent is the return the operator declares for the default preset; the engine cannot derive it because the result depends on how you play. Basic strategy gets closest, and mistakes move the real figure down.
